Wildhorse Roundup
Jarita Wildhorse Territory

·       Five horses were captured on the first day of the Wildhorse Roundup on the Jarita Wildhorse Territory northeast of El Rito, New Mexico.

·       Horses captured include l blue roan stallion, 1 mare with yearling, 1 roan mare, and 1 young stallion.

·       No folds were sited.

·       Horses have been moved to a holding pen at Ghost Ranch, and are being evaluated by a veterinarian today.

·       Roundup plans call for capturing up to 30 horses and will continue through April 30, 2003.
